tie rod ends?

ok so since i put my new tires on (only rear tires) my car has a wandering problem. i whent from 255's to 275's, while cruising at about 40mph + it tends to wander to the left, wander to the right, just whenever it wants. i have a few thoughts in my head right now

1. when they impounded my car a few weeks back they fucked up some front suspension
(i noticed the steering "felt" a little loose when i got her back, but that could have been in my head)

2. an old problem just exagerated by the new wider rear tires

3. no problem at all just being anal about my car

so right now all i can think is maybe i have a bad tie rod end or somthing, i havent hit any potholes or curbs however i did hit an opossum about a month and a half ago

any ideas? this thing makes me nervous when driving in trafic on the highway and whatnot

That sounds weird. I know that when my old tires were getting worn down they wanted to find every crack in the road and follow them.

Maybe you need an alignment, my car has no issues with steering and I have 275s up front

it's the 275's when I had them on mine it did the same thing. I put the 245's back on no more wandering. since then I have talked to a ton of poeple around here with mustangs & everyone says the same thing. either put max pressure in tires & hope some of it goes away & live with the rest or go back to 245's. you can mess with alignments from now till christmas & it wouln't go away
