150 shot

Hey nitrous guys... i need to know if you can run a 150shot with stock fuel rails on a returnless style system... i have a svt focus pump... but... i was told that with a wet kit, anything over 100 shot would suck too much fuel out of the rail even with a focus pump that it would have a very lean condition even with a tune... now this was told to me by James at running with the devil tuning shop. he knows his crap... I called another shop "JMS" and they said its possible but they have never seen it, and the only way to find out would be to put jets in and put it on dyno... another friend of mine that has a 10sec cobra that is knowledgable said no i could not run that big that it would suck it dry... but the guy i got the car from, he has a 9 sec cobra and has numerous other stangs said that it would take the 150 like a champ with a tune... im torn between what to do. can you guys help me out? sweet, drgnracin, hmusn, acmillr, mattstang.... pretty much askin you guys....

use a KB boost a pump, and a feul pressure regulator and you will be set. but i also have been wanting to go with a nitrous dedicated system.

I remember a few years back seeing test that KB did with the BAP and they did not test it on a Focus pump because they said it would not support it.

As for the fuel rails, you'll be fine, they pump should... should be okay but may be maxed out. JMS tuned my car on a 150 shot and I have stock rails, but I do have an 03/04 cobra pump.

well i believe that the svt focus pump actually has a higher duty cycle than the single cobra pump... im not sure on that but... so you guys think i should be ok with a bap? or maybe even without one? i would really like to run 150 on regular gas... anyone else with opinions?

a boost a pump or a GT supercar pump will cover it, but I think you will be just fine with what you got. If you are worried then upgrade. I know on sweet2k's car he is on a stock pump with all the bolt on's, full exhaust and a 130 shot soooo I think you are fine man.

I would be more concerned about fuel puddling in the stock plastic manifold then anything else.

a bap and focus pump work fine together thats what I am running to avoid the lean spike I was getting.

well every single tuner i have talked to..when they tune a bolt on gt with such a big shot uses race gas...so if that stops my shit from blowing then i will do what they tell me to do..
