I have a KB 2.1 intercooled and love it. I can give you a direction to go with because iv never had a procharger.

Are you looking for alot of hp like 600rwhp+, if so, when deciding look at the KB 2.6, that blower will give you alot of power since you have a mod motor.

All in all i can't complain, i love my KB and has the potential to make more than enough rwhp that im looking for and since i have a conv. no point in building something outrageous (ill just wait to buy a hardtop)

Good luck with whatever you decide on, if you need anything else just let me know

There's no additional information in your garage so I assume you will be running a supercharger on a stock motor. Both are very good superchargers. Even at the introductory level, both are capable of providing more horsepower than the stock rods and pistons can stand. I'm not sure 'better' is an appropriate word, but they will perform differently. The KB will is at full boost at 2500 rpm and provides more torque at low rpms. Better depends on how you intend to use your car.

What are you building the car for? Is it a daily driver? Are you the only one driving the car? Since there is very little snow in Georgia, I would lean toward the KB if you are the only driver. But, the KB is more expensive and you probably ought to increase your budget for tires.

Edit: Incase readers fail to look in my garage, I'm running a Procharger.

i am the only one driving the car it is not a daily driver and i dont car about track performance, just on the street. i just dont know if one performs better with the mod motor because they have no low end tq or power. dont care about power band or where the power comes in just want it to perform on the street. i am running 18x10 with 295/35 now. wish i could just ride in a car and see for my self.

Then I would recomend a KB. just get the 2.6 and grow into it. Turbo is another option

there is a guy on lonestarstangs.com selling a polished d1 procharger with everthing,pipeing,3 core intercooler and all for 3400 bucks. you will spend 5grand just to get a kb. and the d1 has the same power potential. your saveing 2 grand so you can build your motor and keep gas mileage

Neither one is realy better than the other, they are just different. If you have 2 identical cars making the exact same power numbers, one with the KB and the other a Procharger. The KB will get it from a dig and procharger will shine on a roll. out of 10 races it will probably be about even.
