Stock Throttle Body

how big is the stock throttle body? I just spent about 30 minutes on the search trying to get it to stop breaking up the three words, but it won't and I can't go through 7k+ topics looking for stock throttle body...so if you could just tell me right quick I'd appreciate it....and also...if I get a larger throttle body, has anyone sold their stock one? can I actually get anything out of it?

i took my throttle body and plenum off and did a p&p. i went to an aftermarket after i had nothing else to do. 65mm is stock and for an n/a car 70mm is all you need. my T/B and plenum is going up for sale along with other stuff soon.

99-04 4.6 sock T/B is 65mm. the older mustangs had smaller. MAF is 80mm 99-01 85mm 02-04 and all have the same T/B.

see I was looking for it online, and all I could find was the older 55mm throttle bodies, and I didn't think mine was that small...I got a 70 mm on the way, and I got a high flow plenum or whatever already...what is a good follow up for those?

dont know without more info on the car. whats been done, what do you want to do with it, what kind of priorities do you have for it, etc.

its a stock 2003 GT convertible, not looking to make it an ungodly fast drag car, but I'd like to have nice moderate street capabilities, and run some good times too. I don't have the money to supercharge or anything like that, I was just wondering what other small things I could do to make a little difference in power. I got flowmaster exhaust with super 40 mufflers, I got high flow plenum, and 70 mm throttle body. Ordering underdrive pulleys soon. what else is there? my priorities are simple, just to make the car a bit faster, a bit quicker, and a bit more fun, nothing too serious...and I'm going to do gears too, so is there anything else besides those that I'm missing that might be good?

CAI, gears, programmer,& maybe cams. depends on what you are considering a little difference in power. if thats not enough vitamin N2O.

hahah, nah I don't think I'll ever need any of those vitamins, but if I put a 270 cam in it, that won't hurt the stock internals will it? can I go any bigger safely?

272 is about the limit on stock setup. after that, springs, bottom end and headwork(optional) will need to be done. a dyno tune will make the cam show its real potential.
