Used Diablo Tuner

Hey guys, loong time since I've been on here. I hope everyone is going well. I just got some dough and looking to get a used Diablo Tuner.

A friend mentioned that you can only tune 1 car with it because it reads the VIN. Has anyone had a problem with this, or should I be able to use it on mine without any problems. It's 4 years old. Thanks guys!

when you load the tune onto a car, it marries itself to that VIN. when you reload the stock tune onto the ecu again, it becomes unlocked and you can use it on another car...

So I got it installed today and MAN what I difference! Does anyone know what I'm putting down right now and what my estimated 0-60 should be? I have 3.73 gears, CAI , 255 tires all around, flowmaster 40's and now the diablo tune. My goal is to eat WRX's. Thanks!

Thanks, 245-255 is pretty good. It feels like more in the seat of my pants. There is a definite difference at 3000rpm and up. But yeah, there are way too many kids around here with WRX's and think they own the road. I'm making it my freakin business to remind them what a muscle car is around here.

I noticed a definate differance from my diablo tuner, my car was already tuned when I bought it, but when I switched back to stock for cheap gas use, it felt like it lost about 20 horses easily

Yea when i had my doge ram with the 5.7, i had a tuner for it and i could only tell once i took off the tune, but when i put the tune back on i wasnt impressed, totally different vehicle, but yea when you take the tune out you can usually tell. I guess im gonna get one next weekend now for shits and giggles, besides my speedo hasnt been adjusted for the 4.10s and its been over 20K miles since

Yeah definitely get one. Aside from the HP gain it's like having a new ride all over again. I'm looking everywhere for great mod deals and just spent all day today cleaning her.

I wouldn't try to go running down WRXs just yet...They can pack a lot more punch than you might expect because a quick swap of the turbo or pumping up the boost means those factory numbers are fairly conservative not to mention they have AWD. I say put a set of LTs on it and THEN go run them down, especially since LTs mean you'll sound like a BAMF.

LT wont make hardly any difference in his power, especially a win or no win difference, go fuck those WRX's up man

Hell yeah I'd sound like a BAMF. I know for a face that most WRX's around here are bone stock except for exhaust. I live outside VA and so it's more about the car than the mods. Either way, I still get to race them all the time on the highway and can slowly walk them from a roll (thank you 3.73's). I just want to be sure I can still fuck up one that's slightly modded.
