I'm actually a private contractor. I got out of the Air Force last May and decided I wanted to be one of those asshole civilians making all the money in Iraq. haha

It does look really funny when you walk into our office and we are all sitting there drinking beer. I have no idea what the fascination is with drinking NA beer but people keep buying it and bringing it to work. So I figure, what the hell, and just pretend that I am getting really wasted. ????? fuck it

so if youre a pc then why the no alcohol policy? i mean frankly i'd rather my guys get drunk then get stressed. drunks get loud and noisy and messy, stressed people get crazy...and that's dangerous when they're packing rifles.

The closest thing we have to a pool here is the giant sewers outside the gate all the waste water is pumped into. I don't think I could get "pretend drunk" enough to get in that.

We can't have alcohol because we are contracted by the Army and they are our direct client. So since we support the Army they try to hold us to the whole General Order #1 standard with a few exceptions. Therefore no alcohol. Oddly enough we can get it on over in our little camp but for some reason we can't have porn. wtf?

First things first, sucks to be you.

Aside from that, still has to beat the hell out of doing that for only 20k a year though right?

Oh hell yes. I definately enjoy the shit out of money, so doing this for year to make what I make really doesn't hurt my feelings at all.
