What kind are you using? If youre using a jaw one then yea youre probably going to have a little trouble. If you have one that bolts to the crank pulley you shouldnt be having that much trouble. The hardest part is turning the wrench on the tight area but it comes off fairly easy.

Once it gets going, its alot easier - make sure you dont screw the bolts through the pulley too far or youll phuck up your timing cover. Oh, and make sure you take out the spacer/washer that goes between the crank bolt and the pulley or else itll never come off!

ya the harmonic balancer is a pain to get off. It took me a little bit because of the washer when i did my bbk pulleys. My car is now in excessive motorsports getting the engine torn apart because of my crankshaft pulley. somehow the crankshaft pulley turn 180 degrees counterclock wise and threw off the timing chain? or broke the timing cover? and Ideas on what could be messed up?

your first mistake was taking it to excessive. They are by far the worst shop i have ever dealt with.

It took me all of 25-30 mins to get my harmonic balancer off with the puller i rented from the part store...

The hardest thing for me was working in the limited space of the engine bay...

Took mine off with a puller that was on sale at Harbor Freight Tools for $6, and three bolts off the timing cover.
