Need help with a squeak!

I got my can running with the novi 2000 last week and had it tuned on saturday. Thursday, friday and saturday it was fine, then on sunday I get this squeak, its real consistant, like a constant chirp from idle through the rpm. As the car heats up it goes away. Far as I can tell all the pulleys are tight. It seems to be coming from the area of the altenator/right idler pulley. Im pretty sure and praying its not comin from the supercharger. It doesnt really sounds like a squeak from belt slippage. Theres is a build up of belt dust if that matters. So any ideas what it could be?

Yeah, don't worry. It's just the hamster inside the supercharger running faster when you give it some gas!!

All of the belt slippage has probably destroyed the belt.

They s/c pulley did look off slightly (less than an 1/8 inch) but the shim is in there and the belt looks good far as i can tell.

Shave the shim down with a grinder..... But more than likely something else is shoving it out. I haven't installed a Novi but I wonder if the nub on the timing cover has to be shaved off like on a vortech system.

well its not brand new so it should have been done but Ill take a look. I know belt slip is an issue wit a blower, do they need to be replaced anymore than with out a blower? The belt I have isnt new but its still in decent shape.

would a misaligned belt cause a squeak?

yes very much so, as would a worn out belt, and one that is not tight enough.

My car isn't supercharged but I had this same problem a couple weeks ago. It ended up being the tensioner going bad. Maybe that's it?

Sometimes. Look at the tensioner and see if it's twitching at all when you give it gas.
