Engine
The original used engine we had did not run. So now we have a set of heads off a 2001GT going on a 2000GT with the T-45 will any of these fit with the heads and transmission?

yes, 2001 and 2000 heads are perfectly interchangable. if you look they have the same casting numbers.

I'm not sure about all the other models you have listed, but you should check with the dealer for sure as all 96-98 mustang 4.6 motors were non p. i. and you would lose significant hp if you bolted npi heads and intake to a p.i.motor. also, npi heads are not ment to be used with a p.i.intake without an installation kit or alot of gasket maker.

the t-45 was the stock mustang 5 speed from 96+. They changed somewhere along the way to 2004 but i'm not sure of the year they made the switch. It should bolt up to any mustang 4.6. though. the only thing you need to make sure of is the correct flywheel and bellhousing.

well I have the PI's off a 01GT all I need is a motor for a friend and the only ones I found in a reasonable $ range is the above listed. So if the 96-98 motors bolt up to a 00GT T-45 then ill do the swap and change the npi to the pi.

sounds like your best plan. you can definately put the 01 p.i.'s onto the 96-98 gt motor. you will get a bump up in compression too. the npi motor with the pi set up produces 10:1 compression. i believe your stock p.i. motor only produces 9:1 or 9.5:1.

the t45 will bolt up to any of the mod 4.6 and 5.4. all the x vin motors are windsors, and w vin are romeo's. the heads will bolt to any block, just have to make sure you run the correct valve cover with the head. the romeo motors have 6 bolt f/w and windsors generally have the 8 bolt. the bellhousing on the t45 will only go to the mod motor, i believe the 3650 is the same. the mustangs went to the 3650 mid 01, and all mustangs went to electronic speedo in 99+.
