o/r h...different kind of question

so i may have a deal on an off road h...its a mac.

anyway i have read several times that the power difference between the two (x and h) is unnoticeable. and as far as sound i don't care whether its an h or an x. im sure either sounds good.

my question is i have read about off road pipes opening it up too much. as in it seemed to lose some power. i assume i won't have any problems with the offroad pipe as long as i get the right muffler.

i am thinking bassani, magnapacks, or mac.

i'm just worried that if i get a straight thru muffler that i will lose power from the exhaust being opened up too much. just wondering if an off road h with a good set of mufflers is gonna open it up too much or lose power. whether it be down low or not.

thanks

Uhhmmm nope...

I could only see that happening if you go to a FULL 3'' exhaust with a mildly modded car.

All the midpipes are 2.5'' and youll notice a little more umph, but not a whole lot

i noticed low end power when i put on my H pipe. Not like 20HP but i could tell there was more "Umph" like Zinc said.
