very disappointed

well... tonight i ran my car at hub city.... now.. so far all it really has done is some minor suspension work, exhaust, subframe connectors, billet flywheel, and k&n air filter...so its basically stock with exhaust. first pass was shortly after i got there.. i was shootin for a 13.8 tonight.... first pass was a 14.6@97 with a 2.26 60'.... the 1st 2 runs were back to back.. 2nd i ran a 14.3@98 with a 2.25 60'.... 3rd was a 14.1@100 with a 2.21 60'.... 4th was a 14.00@100 with like a 2.15 60'.... i was really disappointed in the car... i guess cuz the last one i drove ran 13.0-13.1 @103... here is what i dont get... how come i only ran 3mph slower but ran a full second slower... didnt wanna run it on the kit yet till i got other stuff put on... so there is my starting point i guess... 14.00 @100

wheel spin will affect mph quiet a bit, not to mention cool down time, track conditions, etc. when i first got my car, i went 13.9@100 with only mid pipe and cat back.

oh yeah... forgot about that.. i started out granny shiftin and kinda started shiftin faster as the night went cuz it was makin me mad that it didnt run 13s... kinda wanted to wait to shift fast till i got a shifter. already broke 1 trans... i know i can shift the mess out of the car and that will help when i get the shifter... i still wasn't speed shifting tonight...

+1 on the shifts, I went 14.2 at 98.6 with Catback and my Hurst. I had no wheels spin though bc I didn't launch. Once you get a short throw you'll prob hit high 13s

+1 on the shifter my MGW made a huge difference... i also think a tune makes a big difference (i think more then my exhaust did, but i guess the exhaust made the tune better!)

send me a PM the next time you plan on heading to hub city, maybe we can meet up. Are you going to be on the coast for cruising the coast?

you cant really expect much more than low 14s with a basicly stock gt. once you get some more bolt ons, a tune and some 4.10s you should have no problem running mid 13s. not to mention this is the first time you've had this car at the track right? get to know your car a little better at the track and some more mods and you'll have a solid low 13 second car.
