Automatics: Aftermarket Converter Guys

What converter did you get and what did it do for your et's, manners on the street, cost, any pertinent info you can give would be appreciated. I have a tech article from the TCI site and their 10" Street Fighter dropped .4 from a '99 mustang in 92* heat. I have learned that getting a converter strong enough to withstand lockup in 2nd will reduce the time even more. Looking for some actual experience because every manufacturer will say there converter is the best! Thanks, mark

Are you actually using that converter? A single disk 9.5" from a front wheel drive car with modifications that are bought in a kit would not do the job for even a stock Mustang IMHO. We have a 2800 stall converter from the factory. I saw the Edge on Ebay and they are still there and they do not usually receive a single bid. I am sorry if they are a supporter of this forum but if that is the case then their product should be in no danger because of healthy competition. Mark

yes, I am using their converter. The Pro series for a PG. As a matter of fact, I have went as fast as 9.80 on one of their converters with about 750hp in front of it, 5K rpm launch off the transbrake w/ n2o. I wouldn't hesitate in the least to buy one or recommend them to anyone.
