Hellion Turbo

Is anyone with a 4.6 new edge running the Hellion turbo kit. I've been looking into getting it and wanted to know how you like it.

I have the HP kit, so I can't tell you too much about it, but I know that everyone who gets one is happy with it.

Haven't heard about any real problems with it either.

Since we are in a turbo discussion. Will any turbo work for our cars. The thing is that theres a friend of mine that has a 300zx and he went and bought 2 new turbos and he is selling me the two stock turbos with the small intercooler for 300$ Also there are some other people here in P.R. selling different turbos very cheap. What is the size I am looking for?

Depends what size the turbos are, I'm guessing that the stock turbos from a 300zx will be to small for a V8, but I'm not sure what turbos they came with stock.

But yes, basically any turbo could be set up to work, its just a matter of size and A/R.

unless you are one hell of a fabricator and have a lot of knowlege on turbo's and what not id suggest buying a turbo kit for your car. fabricating a turbo system is pretty complicated from what i understand.

You can get used turbos only for WAY cheaper than that. Its all the fabing that gets you.

They kit I am looking at and working with Craig at Hellion is going to run me about 6K

I'm pretty sure that the kit will have new headers and a midpipe with it, but I've been wrong before.

no doenst come with headers, just has a mid pipe that bolts to the stock manifolds.

I wouldn't mess with the headers then unless you talk to Hellion personally and ask about shorty headers. They fit their kit to the stock manifolds otherwise they would suggest/give headers with the kit.

Yeah Ive been talking with Craig from Hellion but I thought I would just see if anyone has done it before I write him an email tomorrow and ask him. Shorty headers bolt up to stock exhaust so I wasnt sure if you would benefit from them or not
