So, I bought a.........

Wet Kit for $175 from a good friend.

It's a NX Kit. I'm just wondering whats a safe shot for the stock short block? 100?

Actually a 125 shot is safe. But anything over 75 would be good to have a tune...
And have a window switch and all the cutoff switches.

I have a WOT switch, but I plan on purchasing a window switch. Tune is already in the making lol

You should be golden then. Dont forget colder plugs and 93 oct gas.

it iill take a 100 shot without a tune just fine. just make sure you have the colder plugs and 91+ octane fuel. the internals can handle more, you have to make sure the tune is spot on.

Almost forgot colder plugs, thank you guys! She's already tuned for 93

Do I need to use 93 on an 87 tune though?

you need a new tune the reason your burning 93oct now is because they advanced your timing you need to retard the timing atleast back to stock or 2degrees below stock
