you can use any octane you want (pump gas)

but joe (tricktuners) can tune you to get better performance and mpg with 93

The tune you should get should be based off of what gas is readily available around you. Some states dont carry 93. If all the pumps around you only car 91, then I would obviously recomend a 91 tune and not above...

that extra 10 cents a gallon will give you a little more power

your spending like 500 bucks on getting your gears done. whats an extra dollar everytime you fill up?

Coming from a guy who didnt want to drop $20 for a bottle pressure guage because he would rather jsut leave the heater on and assume its up to pressure...

It's not a matter of me paying a few more dollars, my dad would just hate me switching from regular fuel to premium... and he pays for gas... and I don't have a job because of sports... so it's really up to him.

the octane would really depend on how much money you feel like spending on gas and what you want out of the car. i wanted to run 93 to get the most out of the car, personally.

as for CAI's being overrated, some people will say that, others will argue. i can't say what kind of gains you'll see with just the filter (probably some gains, but not as much as a whole CAI), but i've had 2 CAI's on my car. the first was a BBK. piece of crap. stay away from it. it's metal, it heat soaks, it's just crap. i replaced it with a JLT CAI. i gained something like 9 hp and 12 tq over the BBK...
