do i need new valve springs?
its a never ending pursuit isnt with us mustang guys. we are never truely happy with our car no matter what we put in it haha. i just put in mac o/r hpipe with my slp loudmouth I's. i am about to buy the hitech stage II cams and was wondering if i needed to get new valve springs with that. im getting the car tuned at a local speed shop so all i need to know is if i need to shell out just alil more cash for the valve springs or if i can get away without them. thanks in advance

Get the springs man, they aren't that high and then you can get whatever cams you want without worrying about the springs. Do the seals while you are there too.

the stock springs cant handle much more than the pi cams. doesnt matter what stage cams you get, you should always change the valvesprings

Valve springs wouldnt add to the cost, besides the springs themselves. Shit i had a little valve float with stock cams. Get the springs.

I wouldn't recommend it, but I did run stock springs, with my Houston Performance s292 cams. They were 531 lift, 242* of duration, and 114* lsa.
I made 516/453 for over a year and a half this way, and ran a 11.26 @ 129.
