O2 Sensor Extensions
Hi all,
So me and my buddy pulled an all nighter and installed my full exhaust. What a nightmare installing the LT's ![]() The question I have is the O2 extensions that I received didn't seem to fit so as of now thay are not plugged in. When I called the performance shop where I purchased them they told me that you need to use an exacto knife and cut of a piece of the plastic on the front of the connector before it will fit. Has anyone heard of this before? I just want to make sure that I can still return them if they are in fact the wrong part number. Thanks

Yeah you need to cut some of the alignment tabs off of the side of the plug.

+1, it's common so the aftermarket suppliers do not have to make/buy two different connectors just because of that lousy tab--I've never seen one that didn't require this...

yeah, it's normal. i kinda freaked out about mine as well because i replaced the O2 sensors right before getting dyno tuned. i looked at the old ones and realized that i just needed to cut off the tabs and it'd be fine...
