Input shaft bearing or the TB

Recently i did a clutch job on my 2002 GT. centerforce dual friction, centerforce TB and pilot bearing. When i took the car and drove home i noticed a rattling noise when i was in nutral. Like metal on metal rattle. When i press the clutch half way it goes away (where the point of engagement). If i press slightly on the clutch the noise doesnt go away.
The guy told me that its the TB resting on the pressure plate resulting in this rattle. the fix is a Steeda cable adjuster kit. If its cold mind you it doesnt do it. when i drive for like 15 minutes it starts. Also i can still hear it in all gears specialy first and second. Plus when i press the clutch pedal all the way in and release sometimes the noise dont appear right away.
Now another mechanic heard the noise and told me it has nothing to do with the clutch cable and the TB but its my input shaft bearing that is bad.

Do i need both or one of these fix.

Regards

My clutch does the same thing, except all the time ,go with the adjuster kit. That is what I will be doing
