Potential gasket replacement
Right now I have an oil leak coming from the oil pan, I think. I want to get down there and retighten the bolts, should I just pull it off and check for any problems with the gasket or assume it's all okay? If I take off the oil pan, do I need to replace the gasket?

yes if the bolts are loose you should replace it or if you take it off then replace it. sounds like you need to replace it anyway.
