romeo or windsor

11 valve cover bolts on mine(romeo). 8th digit of VIN =X (windsor). Born on 3/14/01 after 2/22/01= considered 01 1/2 through 04 era. Looked under 5m trans and drain bolt straight down=T3650(upgraded T45) ......... Do I have 6 bolt flywheel? Do I have 11" clutch? Which upgraded heads do I need? I am currently assembling parts pile for teardown and rebuild for real power but dont want it down for too long. Thanks for the help.

well it s amodular motor so everything will work together except for the clutch and flywheel. if you have a 11 bolt valve covers you have romeo heads, but your block can still be a windsor blick. ford mixed and matched everything and its confusing as shit sometimes but will all work together
just piecing it together is the hard part

I was under the assumption that windsor interchanged only with windsor, and romeo with romeo. Huh. thats cool that it all interchanges. So I guess its all good.Does the X in VIN indicate windsor mean it is a windsor block = (8 bolt crank). If I had 4v heads off of late 90's cobra will they work with 2v block? Thanks for the help.

the way i understand it the cobra block is just a modified romio block with 8 bolt crank and prolly some other mods done to it ,,it may need to be machiened to get them to fit ,,,, if thats rite at all
