there is no cheap horsepower, it cost to make a car fast... sorry. becarful changing the sparkplugs, they will strip the sparkplug holes if your not careful, you have a 3650 tranny, they can crap out pretty easy if you beat on them, but somepeople have had good luck with them. you have 2v heads, and the internals of the motor will need to be forged to put any serious PSI in the motor. building NA you wont get tons of power out of the 2v, but you can put down a pretty good bit with FI or some juice, what route are you wanting to go?

an H or X pipe really opens up the exhaust, iv got stock after the midpipe so i dont really nknow any good exhaust setups. UDP's, and make the drivetrain lighter to freeup some power. gears can give you some torque

well since these guys wont give you a legit answer haha, If your thinking bolt ons go with gears and a tuner, and like mpboy said a midpipe will help a lot, maybe a tb and plenum and cai. That will get you breathing a lot better. those are most of the good cheaper mods

Kinda depends on what you consider cheap and weather you can do the labor yourself or not. A few things to look into to start would be gears, tune, cai, exhaust, throttle body + plenum, and shift kit if its an auto.

just do gears, short throw shifter, Dr's, and full exhaust then save for a supercharger..

with the aod, i'd go 4.10. as for brand, it doesn't matter that much. FRPP/ Motive or Richmond, you can't goo wrong. make sure you get them installed by someone who really knows what he's doing...
