Help with Axle please
I posted earlier about bending my axle.. now i need help on how to remove the axle shaft to replace it...
ive heard all you have to do is remove 4 retaining bolts and the axle should slide out... but idk where the 4 bolts are? help? |

put car on jack stands or lift first...
Remove tires... Remove brake assembly... On a 8.8 take the rear cover off... Spin the diff so you can get to the pin retainer bolt... Take it out and remove pin... Then push in on axle take off c-clip inside diff...(both sides) Then remove axles... Install is opposite of removal... |

Also, and if you have ABS, remove the ABS sensors before pushing the axles in to remove the C-clip. If you do not there is a good chance the sensors will be physically damaged...
