1'' or 1.25'' wheel spacers? *pics*

ive done some searching and found few answers about whether to run 1 or 1.25'' wheel spacers on my 00' V6 with factory 17X8 GT wheels with 245/45/17 tires. i also have an 8.8'' GT rear end. i took a couple rulers out to measure and see if i would have any clearance issues. measuring 1'', the tire would still sit about 1/2'' inside the fender. so im leaning toward the 1.25'' spacers but i dont want any rubbing issues when the suspension compresses.

my question is, which is recommended more with my setup? does anyone have good pics of spacers with wheels similar to mine. i already looked at customer pics on americanmuscle.com too.

heres pics of how it sits now:

thanks for any help guys

just buy some 17x10.5 rims, the spacers make the car look weird.

I used them for a little while, and they werent that bad. It didn't look right at the standard ride height because of all that wheel well, but otherwise, it was ok. 18x10.5s look way mo' betta doe.
