killing the sound

So yesterday I went out and bought 3 cans of spray on rubber coating, 4 bucks each from autozone. I have removed about everything from the back seat back and there has been a bit of noise. I thought this rubber coating would help, I laid 3 cans down on it and am just waiting now for it to dry. Does anyone know how long it takes to dry completely, how well does it work, or if I used too little?

OK well it has dried, or at least doesn't take fingerprints. It feels soft but doesn't rub off or smear so I think its ok. The sound is a little better, that or I just think it is because I know I did something to help it. It isn't to where i want it to be so I went out and grabbed some 3m spray on sound dampening rubber stuff. Maybe it will help, maybe it will just be it getting thicker I don't know. I don't know when I will have the chance but when I get my car on a lift I plan on coating the bottom too, mainly for rust protection but hopefully it will help that much more. What else can I do without spending gobs of money. Where on/in my car should I concentrate my attention?

Probably nothing. The dynamat types of dampening work great, but cost $$$ and tons of hours for the install. I did my entire truck and it cost about $500+ and took 30-40hours. It made a HUGE difference and i'd do it again for sure.

just put the interior back in, no more sound. by the time your done you'll have more weight in the undercoating than the interior.

update: Applied 3m spray on rubber stuff after the other stuff dried and it has made a huge difference. Well I am waiting for the 3m to dry but it is a lot better now.
