But yea i just want a fun handling car that i can take to the local autoX track sometime. No 1/4 mile for me. Do you think DRs help or hurt the handeling, cause i hate having DRs, no fun and fast wear
DRs would hurt the handling. If you have good quality street tires on the rear, like a 315/35 you should be able to hood decent with good technique.

Drag radials are designed for forward acceleration, not for the side loading like road course tires are. There are lots of good ones available. There was an article on musclemustangsfastfords.com about different street radials. Potenza P0's, Eagle F1's and Kumho Ecsta's MX's are all good handling tires that will last you more than a year if you take care of them. There is another set of Kumho Ecsta's that are softer and better handling, but I can't remember the name. remember also, that any weight you can take off of the wheel's is equivalent to taking off 3-4x the same amount off the weight of the car. The rotating energy makes a big difference. Some lightweight wheels will make a suprising difference. Unfortunately they get expensive fast.
