Belt is slipping

Alright.. well this afternoon I decided to use "Emay's Engine Detailing Bible" lol.. and cleaned under the hood a bit.. well it looks great except for a couple things but only one thing is really bothering me.. I think the simple green screwed with the finish on my PP plenum, and now my belt slips a little with normal driving but pretty bad as soon as I romp on it.. I assume this is due to the F21 on the belt or pullies.. What can I do to correct either of these problems.. with emphasis on the latter. Thanks guys.

they make belt dressing you can get it at auto zone. i always wash my belt with soap and water, and ill clean my pullies with brake cleaner or the such, some thing that degreases and dosent leave a residue, any residue on the belt or pullies is bad juju. and it could be time for a new belt..

my belt looks fine.. it's probably just a residue that is left behind enough mess to cause a little slippage.. should i remove the belt when I do this I guess?
