That's the setup I have with regular Magnaflow catback, Bassani o/r x-pipe. I'd post a clip but I don't have anything to record it with, don't think a cell phone will do it justice. I think it's plenty loud, almost too loud for cruising down the interstate, but I don't do much of that. Tone sounds great for around town, I'm all the time turning heads and getting compliments. The little old lady down the street even stopped me and told me how much she liked the sound of my exhaust

I would say go with the regular magnaflows. X pipe and magnapacks might be too poppy. X and regular magnaflows sound really good though. haven't heard them in person so im not too sure how loud it is but a lot of people say magnaflows are pretty quite where the Magnapacks are loud as hell. I just ordered magnapacks so ill let yea know in a week if your interested.

I was thinking about buying Magnaflows because my ears can't take much more of that Flowmaster drone. Now I have doubts.

I used to like the sound but I do a lot of interstate driving and the noise is just not worth it.

I just had the Magnaflows first, and they weren't very loud. Had good sound too. It was only when I added the o/r x-pipe that it got louder. So maybe with your catted x-pipe it wouldn't be that bad on the interstate??

i love the packs one because they don't drone, and they also give a nice muscle car sound to them.

Thats the setup i have with the o/r tru-x. I love the sound and it doesnt drone on the highway so no problems there. they are loud but you wont truly notice the sound unless you are driving at night. I felt bad driving after about 11 pm because they could potentially wake people up, but in those cases i just made sure to keep the rpms low and not get on the gas in residential neighborhoods.

Best sound IMO will come from the packs.

I might give them a try then. I told the local muffler shop to get me a quote. I really do need something that is less deafening. I have even considered wearing ear plugs when driving.

(Funny thing. I yell at my son when he turns up the bass too loud. I really think those Flowmasters are worse.)

different cars different results i guess. If you want to try them out then go for it, i dont think you will regret it if you do. If you want to risk maybe being a little too loud for a better tone go with packs. If you just want a good tone but dont want to risk it being too loud than dont go with packs.
