which percent on tint

alright guys im goin to tint my windows here soon but im so unsure of what percent to get sense i have a tan convertible top i don't think a really dark tint would look good any suggestions.

5% in the rear and sides.. 20% if not 15% on the driver and pass.... do not bother with the strip on the windshield...

i woould say 20 around is dark but not really dark

15% all around looks great in my opinion. That's what I've done to all my cars. It's dark enough, but not too crazy. Unless you run into a total dick of a cop, you really don't have to worry about getting a ticket.

I second this. I have 20% but would like it just a little bit darker. A bunch of friends have 15% and it's the right balance between dark enough and too dark.

look at your state laws first and if you think cops will stop you stay as close to legal as possible. In my town, cops have started pulling people over and fining them for anyting under the legal 35%. We had huge newspaper articles and an interview called by the chief of police or whatever forewarning drivers with illegal tints. I doubt your tint will get as much attention as it does here, but something to keep in mind. You dont want to pay for a tint, just to have to pay to get it removed and get a lighter tint

A buddy of mine has limo all around and 15 on his windshield..... He's a cop so he get's away with it. He can only drive it in the day. Matter of fact, it's the black 93 cobra in the pic below in my sig.

x2...i'd get 15%.

i had 5 and it was too dark.

4% on mine all the way around and loving it

Dark Tint + Sonic Blue = SeX!!!!!!!!!!!

Most every color though can benefit from the dark'nd windows!

MY WIFE HAD A 2007 CONVERTIBLE AND IT WAS RED ALSO AND WE ONLY PUT 35% ON IT AND IT LOOKED MEAN AS HELL BUT THAT WAS THE LIMIT IN ALABAMA AND I DIDNT WANT HER GETTING TICKETS... MY 2000 GT LOOKS NASTY WITH THE 2 LAYERS OF 5% GIVING IT A 2.5%.... SO YEAH TINTING ANY WINDOWS MAKES THE CAR LOOK BAD ASS
