Battery Relocation

For those of you with a New Edge with the battery mounted in the trunk, where did you run your kill switch too? Im thinking about getting a push/pull kill switch and having the rod go through the passenger side reverse light.

To kill the Battery if the car is wrecked or catches on fire...
So it will shut off the fuel so it wont make it any worse...

Its a requirement of certain tracks and of the racing association at a certain speed car. Its not necessary I don't think untill you like into the 10's. It has to be easily accessable. So someone other than you can pull it while you are still in the car. Most people put them in the middle of the back or on the fender. I don't think its really all that important, I'd read the rule book to make sure though.

look into streetleathal.com there a local shop here in pgh pa. Terry makes a very nice set up that goes thru the lock hole & mounts to the under side of the trunk lid. very nice well thought out kit, you'll like it.

Any car running NHRA rules with a battery anwyhere other than stock location, has to have a kill switch that goes on or off or PUSH for off...

Here is how i have seen one,

I like that set up matt. I think i might have to do it that way. i know a guy at the track i run did his in the same location but it was just a push button type that worked a solenoid but the solenoid would always get hot so he would hook it up for inspection then disconnect it.
