Wierd 4.6l behavior

I've posted this prob before in the 4.6 general section and couldn't get any help so i thought i might try again...

I'll be driving the car down the interstate (not necessarily rough on it) and as soon as I take the exit ramp i let of the gas and avoid using the break i normally just downshift slowly.. anyways, the car just dies. i normally have the music upp so i don't hear it die i just notice it when all of the sudden i dont have any power steering and the battery icon shows up in the dash cluster. . . i'll put the clutch in and itll start right back up while it's rolling with no problem WTF! the motor has 32k miles on it...

It seems to happen more often after i race it.. as soon as we stop i'l start slowing down and itll just die on me.

Another problem im having is.. i'll be driving the car and all of the sudden my check engine light will start blinking and there will be a huge loss in power like i lost 2 cylinders or something out of nowhere... so i upshift and take it real easy on her.. then the check engine light will go back to solid and i can actually feel a litttle jump like the power kicked back in and itll be normal... i was actually side by side with a cobra on the interstate and it happened.. it started blinking and i was like FUCK and like motioned to him.. gime a few minutes lol. and as soon as it went back to solid we went.. when we stopped at a gas station i explained it best i could to him and he was like WTF as well....

has anyone EVER HEARD of these problems?? the only check engine light codes are Auxiliary INPUT and OUTPUT P1633

BTW. when they use the code scanner to clear all codes, my check engine light is Still on...

Don't really know what the problem is, but I'm sure both of you, if you tried real hard, could next time explain yourselves without the use of vulgar, offensive, ghetto English. Not the "holly type" just tied of reading post that look like they were typed by an imbecile.

If your "check engine" light stays on after you clear the codes then I would think you have a bad sensor somewhere. My friend has a '01 Mercury Gran Marquis with the 4.6L and it was doing something similar to what you have described and it turned out to be a faulty knock sensor. Don't know if the GT's have this sensor but it might be worth looking into.

I would imagine that they would be able to figure it out... I hate taking either of my cars to the dealership since they're so damn expensive, but for a problem like this, they probably are the best to diagnose it.
