The OEM upper plenum is 3-1/4" tall, all aftermarket plenums are taller by 3/4" or so, the PP is 4" tall. This is part of their "magic", being taller allows for a larger and more graceful, and thus less restrictive 90° elbow.

The good new is that if you have the OEM hood it will fit fine and still clear the matt by 3/4" or more--things are not really as close under there as you think.
