me and 93hatch are gonna go down there wed and look at some heads he already has ported for another customer and has the flow charts for them im gonna see if there worth it. but he said he is gonna port and polish the heads put brass valve guides and brass valve seats upgraded valve springs and hardened valves and he also said something about opening the spark plug threads and angling them and re-threading them he said it's healthy and gives combustion in the cylinder or some BS like that

Just make sure he puts them on a flow bench to test.

You could have them ported to flow better than stage 3 heads.... but why?

You'll lose low and mid-range. I'd imagine heads that flow that much would be more race-oriented capable of 6500+ rpm. The stock intake would limit it as well as most streetable cams. You sure you want to go that route?

I mean if he's porting the heads and he's good at it then cool, but i hope you're saying he's capable of porting them to flow better than stage 3 heads and not that he's GOING to port them to flow better than stage 3 heads... That's overkill imo..

You do and you don't. Depends on what level you get. A set of stage II heads are normally good streetable heads. Stage III you lose low and mid-range but you gain a lot on the upper end, that's more for straight racing than anything. A quality set of stage II heads will make good hp throughout, but your gains aren't going to be incredibly dramatic
