Pacesetter's quality varies from product to product. Over the years I have had good, OK, bad, and so damned bad I sent it back and paid a re-stocking fee.

Do you feel lucky today?

Cliff

I hear they're the shit for Ls1's and F bodies in general, but aren't that great for our cars. I heard the fitment is kinda bad and leaks are common... But thats just what I heard. I haven't experienced it first hand.

I wouldn't chance it if I was shelling out the money. Just remember you get what you pay for.

Not to get too far OT, however

I have told people for years that "If you buy the cheapest there is, there is a good chance you will get the cheapest there is."

This is not always true, however you need to keep your guard up when bottom fishing.

In a fit of cheapness I bought a set of C.A.M. CC plates on eBay, 12k miles later the driver's side plate looked like this.

I had to run down to Pompano in the wife's car and get a set of Steeda's 4-bolt plates--which I should have done in the 1st place.

BTW--C.A.M. has never responded to any of my eMails or phone messages.

i can tell u from personal exsperience that pacesetter isnt that bad. i have a 98 with a 03 motor in it and i have had them on there since april and they are pretty good. and they sound pretty amazing too. but if i was u i would get the ceramic coated ones. they are like 200 more but well worth it

If it works for you then good for you. Me personally I'd rather spend more money knowing I'm getting a quality piece of performance, versus replacing cheap parts, because of poor quality. To each his own...
