I mean really 2 COMPLETELY differnet classes. If you decide to build you 4R70W the output shaft should be replaced with a better one. also the cooler.

And to get all you smart asses out there... i have a 1965 mustang with a C4 and i do shift it... but wait... it has a valve body and a stall converter... when you go to an electronic transmission it is much easier to have something street able yet race friendly... i don't know how many of you have actually tried to get a Vacuum operated system to shift decent on the street without killing your neck every time, yet when you want to go it wont shift untill 6,000+... thats where the trick is... but with the new edge trannys they pretty much all shift where they need to... think about it... does it reroute the fluid? is there a magical button that gets pressed when you do that?... its all in your head...
