After hearing how you put it, I might now consider a turbo vice a s/c. I've always thought that I would go s/c when the time came, but now I'm reconsidering. Now the problem is, I've done all the research into superchargers already, and don't know shit about turbos.

if i had the cash i'd slap a vortech on mine and never look back.

dont get me wrong turbos are SICK when they're all setup and finished but on engines our size it just takes a lot to keep them up and you have to constantly keep them tuned, monior air/fuel &c... espeically if it's a daily driven car. u can expect to spend twice what your turbo kit cost just in tuning, installation, and upkeep in the first couple of months. its much eaiser to throw one on a 4cyl civic or something lol. which is why they're so much more prevelant among that type of car

if you ahve the money though by all means go for it!!!

i think the turbo market is considerably competitive with the s/c market now

idk why the shitty ttalk about turbos
turbos own the 1/4

most turbos start spooling at 3k and twin turbos at 2,500rpms. and full spooled at 3krpms for TT and 3500 for single

you'll have lag for like 1/2 a secondif you have gears it'll take you no time to get to 3500 rpms in first gear

if you know what your doing and your pushing your car...you wont get below 3500rpms racing....

TURBO is king and always will be
for $1k more turbo is DEFFINITLY worth every penny, plus the little bit of lag it does have just makes things fun. the s/c thinks he's winning...but not for long

plus nitrous=no turbo lag

when i was researching turbos for my car the hp twin 57mm would be at full spoll around 3400-3500 and the big hellion 76mm turbo would be full spoolat 3900-4000 rpm. turbo is the way to go and im thinking its the way i want to go!!!

I would say go with the supercharger, your going to have the power whenever you need it. When you have a turbo you have to wait for it to spool up to get your power. The kennebell is a good choice but it is costly. You may want to go with a centrifugal supercharger like the procharger or vortech because they are cheaper and are gonna give you just about as much horsepower as the kennebell for about a grand less.

im guessing youve never ridden in a turbocharger stang? you dont sit around and "wait" it just doesnt come on quite as quick as the twin screw but itll come on before the centrifugal blowers start building up there boost

i have a question, i intend on getting a stage 3 turbo kit, probably from hp, but i dont want to upgrade the internals just yet, would i get the same hp if i just tuned it so it could handle the internals or what?

your internals will reliably take 400-425HP at the wheels anything over that you'll be on borrowed time. i'd buy your turbo kit with that in mind, unless of course you have plans in the future of beefing up your bottom end..

well as ive said before, ive seen stock motors pushing 550 rwhp, but the owners dont rag th shit out of them, dont over rev them and have excellent tunes in them. youll be fine with the hp turbos. you can detune them to run lower boost and can also run more fuel
