unless you use the stock hood, then it looks stupid, either mach 1 hood, or maybe a 95 Cobra R hood could pull it off or sometin

well the kit is supposed to work with a 99-04 GT hood, which is why im asking. im not spending $1400 just for some stupid shaker look. so the mach 1 hood is out of the question

the hood applique thing im talking about im assuming basically fits on your stock hood to look like the mach 1 hood without the expensive of buying a new one

Have you looked at the pics on the AM site? I think, like someone said, it isn't that good looking with a stock hood, but it won't be my car.

If you paint it like the white GT did, then I guess it wouldn't be bad, just the unpainted looks too plastic.

does anyone know if you can use this with aftermarket intakes? and does it have to be ram air then?

if you want it to work you need to use the same setup that the mach uses.

theres no time!!! take some now!
lol
do you have an aftermarket air filter? and does it actually help with air flow or is it just a big piece of plastic sticking out of your hood?
i like the look of the gt conversion, the plastic piece would match my car good. but $900? i mean come on

In the pics it shows a aftermarket K&N. It just dumps cooler air into the filter.

JLT has the same setup as the K&N and it just looks like the cut the air box and seal to get the air tube over the top.

Well not quite the same, but you would just need to cut the sheild for the air tube to fit in.

the only thing i think is cool about a shaker is how much it moves through the hood...

come to think of it, does it really add that much hp?
