Your choice of turbo or supercharger will have a huge impact on camshaft selection. A turbo will like different timing events than most blowers. The objective is to keep overlap as low as possible and time the valve events that make or beak the combo. Big cams with boost usually perform less than stellar unless they are exact to the combination needs. On the two different boosted applications with nominal boost numbers you may see 20+ horsepower loss using the wrong cam, for most combination as boost increases so will power loss.

The biggest thing is are you going to spend the money to go FI first of all, and if you are, what type of FI? Nitrous, turbo, positive displacement, supercharger, they all have different cams. And it also comes down to what you're looking to do with the vehicle. If it's track only and you're looking for 600+, then cams will make a huge difference. Frankly, you're best off getting FI now, then thinking about if you really want to do the cams. If you're gonna do cams, you might as well do heads. And Then you'll probably be pushign the limits of the 2v and need to forge the rotating assembly.

Just pick an FI system, turbo, positive dispacement, centri, whatever. Most of the FI combos will put your stock motor to the 400 level without much else done to it. After you do that, biuld a spare motor with forged internals, thats what I'm doing now while I'm driving my soon to be boosted car. That way you can take your time biulding a bullit proof motor and not be out your ride.

Lets make this more clear
I plan on swaping in a 03-04 cobra dohc s/c motor into my car soon. Reasons y are 1. 150k+ of abuse from previous owners. 2 same cost as forged 2v plus more power, 3 they sound amazing w fi. it will be s/c for a while but heads and cams will go on b4 i drop it in. the mods will be by no means be done. i want twin turbos at the end but it will be s/c fora while. will turbo cams hurt the s/c motors performance?

Yes turbo cams on a supercharged car will lose power, but if you are 100% certain you will turbo the car eventually go with turbo cams.
Another thing to consider, if your going with cams on a 4V, think about adding Ford GT cams, they are cheap and have proven themselves to add power in both supercharged and turbo applications.
