Stainless steel?

So i have a quick question. I'm planning on changing my exhaust and installing MAC LT's and a prochamber when i go to get my gears installed. Right now im looking at parts, and wondering if it really makes a difference with what the prochamber is made of. The LT's im told should be ceramic coated, but do i have to spend the extra 200 for the stainless steel prochamber or would aluminized suffice? I dont want to cut corners, but at the same time i dont want to spend extra money if i dont have to.

my search fuction wasnt working, but for whatever reason now it is. From past opinions ive heard that stainless will be better if driving at all on salt roads etc. The area i live in obviously sees snow, but my car doesnt see the snow so that really isnt a factor. with my car lowered i have to worry aout scraping, but i avoid speed bumps and such at all costs. Hmm so now i guess its more of a personal opinion. what do you all think? saving the extra money worth taking the chance?

I think SS is worth the money. Even if the car doesn't see snow, unless you're living in Arizona, it's still exposed to the elements and SS is much better.

yeah i just read an article on google after some searching and appearantly you have to worry about it rusting from the inside out. Hmm well then is there anywhere that sells SS prochambers relatively cheap? I've been to stage3motorsports and they are 440 there. Thats about the cheapest ive seen them.

SS is big bucks, you may just have to bite the bullet on this one. Of course, you could always get aluminized and eventually make the upgrade, but it will cost more. If you're deadset on getting it done cheaply, then buy a used pro chamber.

i personally wouldnt worry about havint to have a stainless mid pipe if the car isnt going to see salt much at all. the aluminized is just fine, but it is your $$$. if your car will see the salt much at all, i do highly recommend the SS.

When I finally get the quotes from the shop for install costs i wll make the final decision. Id like to save money, but id rather not have to worry about replacing parts down the road.

Im contemplating doing some of the installs myself to save money. im afraid to do the gear install by myself and i dont want gear whine or any problems due to installing them wrong. With LTs i heard its PITA to do it yourself. I have access to lift so i could get under the car with more room than just stands, but i thought i heard that i would have to lift the motor inorder to install them because of my auto tranny. and with the prochamber it obviously has to be installed at the same time as the headers. Im thinking right there would be 300 or so saved which would give me money to pay for the difference in prochamber costs and some towards the dyno tune.

Is the install on an auto really that bad? SWEET2K, didnt you help DOC install his MAC LTs when he still had the auto tranny?

we did the headers when we did the swap. it is not any easier to install headers with the trans out just for the fact the pass side has to stay really loose. its a pain, but if you just take your time, its not that bad. we did his car and my car on the floor, no lift.
