Time to make my decision. Build the GT or purchase a Term?

Hey guys!

Well..I'm gathering up a lot of money and instead of wasting my time and waiting until next summer to buy a Cobra; I could just start working on the GT. But I want to make sure that I make the right decision so I put up this thread for the final time. I'd really like to take on the challenge of making my GT an awesome car and almost like a sleeper. I'd love to pack the power into it and get all the bolt ons and forged internals and supercharger and stuff..and then there is the Cobra. These cars are just so unbelievable and with litte money it takes you up big numbers in power. Some people say "I won't regret getting the Term." And others say "Why not build the GT and instead of getting into all the trouble with a Cobra just build what I have?" I just see the Cobra as a car I could keep for a long long while. Let me know what you guys think? Thanks a lot! I appreciate and respect you guys a lot for helping me out with this.

If I do keep the GT..I want it to beat really fast cars ..such as Cobras,Vettes,Vipers and so on haha. 6 speed tranny swap would help !

build the gt its not a bad start. i debated the same thing and im building my gt right now. 04 cobra internals, vt stage 2 heads,vt blower cams, pro charger ps1 with a 3.20 pulley, kooks headers and x pipe, tokico struts and qa1 shocks and eibach pro kit, steeda control arms and subframes and qa1 k member and some other goodies that im sure i forgot. shootin for somewhere in the 500s at the wheels. dont get me wrong terminators are the shit but i would just keep your cam and build with what you got. its fun to play the underdog

I'd say so man. I'm only young..18..I know I know. lol. BUT. I can easily get the money to build the GT I have $1500 right now for spare money to spend..I was thinking of just adding some stuff since it's sitting in the garage. The 02 GT has 126,000kms which equals 78,000 miles I think. I should start building the GT. I gotta face it..theres no way I can afford the Cobra...I really doubt it..I'm just gonna dig myself a hole that I won't be able to get out off in the end..right? Plus..I love my GT..sleeper time? lol.

for that money i would try to get gears, tuner, xpipe and catback.it will be close but you might be able to do it if you can do the work ur self. that way you get a little performance and a good sounding car.

oyy canadian bux, well if you ebay stuff you should be able to go along way on a budget,my advice, you want terminator power? set up the car for FI later one, get some 3:73s, long tubes, and some other stuff that will realy improve the addition of the blower oh ya a biger plenum and tb depending on the type of blower... but you know what i mean, that way youl get some gains and when you throw on a blower it will work in conjunction. i wish i had the money to put a blwer on right but hey have fun

I'm not trying to be a downer here but this is like the 7th or 8th post of Chris_Stang02 either talking about how hes getting tons of money, or cant decide between a built GT or a Cobra... Over and over hes gotten the same responses on what to do. Stop loading up on new theads and as far as doing something, either shit or get off the pot man... seriously...

Well it's the last time . And dude I don't really care what you think..I can put as many threads up as I want haha. Your little post won't stop me from posting; if that's what you think. I know I put this up as a thread a few times but this is really the last time I'm doing it and it's not an easy decision. Oh and do you even have a car?

lol no, no money, just lots of debt.... probally because i have too many toys.. And sorry to offend before.. I just get annoyed with the "Yea well when get my twin turbo and an engine swap, and nitrous and..." people. What you got is what you got... If you are upgrading awesome, tell about it. If you need advice and opinions, awesome. I mean thats why I am on this forum, to get input from people who have done what i want to do... Take what you got now and build it.. Then come on here talkin up your ride...
