Deleted my spoiler

I deleted my spoiler just the other day, and went to Lowes like someone mentioned to me before, but couldnt find the nylon hilman pushpins. I settled for screw caps which came in white. It looks really nice unless you look at it really closely, where you can then see that the spoiler was put on when the paint was drying or something...just an inperfection i have to live with (hardly noticeable tho, like a vally in the paint) until i can afford the touch up paint. Anyways just wanted to post this to warn others to double check your trunk lid when spoiler is removed for this before you decide to go all out, but i gotta say when you remove it, you wont wanna put it back on.

you dont need to put plugs in there
probably looks worse with them than without, unless theyre the same color as the paint, mine is white and i took the spoiler off and all the holes are painted inside and it just leaks into the part beneath the taillights around the edge of the trunk, so it wouldnt leak anyways.

dude my holes go rite over the trunk area where the spare is...maybe not on the 99 cuz the spoilers are different and the holes are not the same..but on our cars...THEY DO leak...

Get the 4.10s first,

Shifter second,

Then after it's a beast, lower it done. Sick ride.

my plans are to lean more toward a drag suspension setup...i wanna get the eibach drag launch spring set. ill probably get a shifter first because its the cheaper of the bunch and u get enjoyment every time u get in it...gears will most likely be number two on the list...by that time ill need new rear tires ....then ill get some springs...i thought of cutting them but id rather have a set of new ones...

nooooo stay away from eibach...i was gonna do the same thing but some of the guys at my local club say they're no good...infact a friend of mine had eibachs and switched them out for h&r...if you want drag suspension start with getting some 4cyl fox springs in the front...some 90/10 struts also for the front...for the rear you can cut or get whatever you want but ur gonna wanna do upper and lower control arms...that should be a good start to get you in the right direction.

have you rode in a car with eibachs? besides the springs wont affect the ride near as much as the shocks and struts will.

i havent personally...i've just gone by what they tell me....and yea springs dont really affect ride much. take mine for example i cut my springs and the ride quality is about the same.

does taking off your spoiler hurt performance any? or is the spoilers we have not for performance?

absolutely not...no spoiler will ever give you any more traction other than the ones on formula 1 cars...thats cuz they go VERY VERY FAST. our cars arent fast enough to have one...besides those things are big and ugly...like the ones on ricers
