Belt help

ok wen i last went to track i realized my belt was sliping bad between shifts. well it got worse and my mustang friends and i thot it was a bad tensioner. sure enough at idle the tension moved alot. so i changed it. i picked up a whole lot of voltage and belt doesnt slip in high rpms like it was b4 i changed it, but it still slips between shifts in D or w me shifting. belt is 7months old. any thoughts?

Change the belt and dust off the pulleys to get any residue/dust off. Thats all it could be to be honest. If anything is seizing thats a different story (like a/c compressor) but thats not slipping.

Take the belt off and feel all of your pullies, you will know if any of them are bad.

I know it sounds crazy but the autos make a noise like a belt squealing when shifting under high rpms. mine does it always has even more since the j mod.

its a somewhat normal thing on an auto. my wife had a 2.4 cyl sebring that would do it when i was hammering out all 140hp . and when i would pull out the ir tube and run no filter, it sounded like it was scratching thru the gear change . it was still a turd. the only other thing i would try would be to get another tensioner. correct me if i am wrong, but i think you will have a 3 bolt tensioner.
