Quite a few dont but more do than dont for sure.
I know the over all car is different, i'm not talking about the whole car. Just the motor. A 99 cobra has essentially the same motor but with 4v heads. The newer ones have lower compression, a better quality block and a redesigned 4v head. I'm just saying that it will cost 4 grand to take a normal 2v and even get the 4v heads working on the thing. And after that, you still only have a 4v set of heads, not a super charger, not a forged rotating assembly, not even more compression really.

Your right about the less lope gets you more with the 4v. But thats cause there are 2 valves per side versus just 1 on a 2v. At any rate, the only point I was making was they are a great set of heads and $2000-$2500 is still less than $3k for a set of 4v heads that don't fit your block yet. So I think we agree, they are just bad ass.

As for the comment about them out flowing stock 4v heads. No they don't. 4v heads are still better flow than these, but ported ones will be close. Remember the ported 4v C heads (termi heads) flow 315 cfm at .55 . What are the trickflows? like 240?

Yeah man we agree here. Just cant wait until they come out. Two reasons for me. One so I have faster cars to race, and two because I want to grab some once they cheapen up a little.

Either way its win/win for the mustang community.

They do flow better than ported heads, but I only paid 1300 for mine to my door.

Those came with titanium retainers, bronzed valve guides. SS over sized valves, Viton valve seals 600 lift springs etc. Of course all the extras allows me safely to rev it to 7k+ My flow sheet said 224 I think. So they're actually cost 800 more for 6 more cfm and an inferior valve train.

I bet once you port the TFS and do all the little extras they'll be around 3k and you'll have to have them installed with cams to see what an sc will give you out of the box on the stock pully. So for me if I could only afford a SC of these heads and cams I'd still go SC.

But I will agree they have more potential than stock heads ever could.

Sorry guys but we told you up front that these heads would not be available until the end of March/ early April. For those of you that think cylinder head development is easy you may want to look into it a little bit further. This is 3 1/2 years in the making and for you to think that we are just going to throw it out there with out full testing you are nuts!

Plus the more they build suspense the more they can sell even before people have a chance to prove their worth. It's not like I think they will not perform well, I feel they are definitely a step up. The valve geometry and removable cam towers alone are a move in the right direction.

I know I mentioned that there was a couple quality control issues with my TFS intake, and a mod squashed it, and deleted my post over at modular depot. Of course they will be selling them over there, so I think that had to do a little with it. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if a TFS rep my have said something to them also. It's like no one can have any negative criticism to post about them.

The mod sent me a PM sayings my TFS intake had nothing to do with the TFS heads. I said it was totally relevant since the same company makes both and if quality control was lacking a little on the intake it might also spill to their heads.

I was just giving a honest review on a similar mod, for the same motor, by the same company. I'm sure they are meant to work together, and just wanted to give my fellow modular mustang brethren a heads up. Plus to give TFS a heads up to help insure everyone got a quality product. After all after all extra's including cable valve pans TB's gaskets, and fluids. I probably have a little over 1200, because I went to the oval TB.

I said I hoped they paid a little more attention to heads. There was powder coat missing on the back of the intake. There was a part missing, and the holes were slightly off off where the TB mounts. I had to drill out the holes a tad on my new $350 Accufab TB to get it to line up. I finished by saying over all I was happy and they still felt the need to to delete it. I wasn't even that upset about it, until they felt a need to censor me for no reason. The man was keeping me down.

Don't get me wrong, over all I think the intake is well designed, but like I said there were a few quality control issues. I also called and told a rep that I was concerned if I went with oval TB that I would need the Bullitt valve covers, and throttle cable. The rep said that it had been revised since the directions on summit were posted, and I would probably not need them.

Well he was wrong the TB stops right in front of the oil fill, So I have already bought a pair of 96 gt covers with the fill on the passenger side. Plus ford has discontinued the Bullitt throttle cable. Some places you still find them listed but no one has them in stock. I also heard the 98 cobra throttle cable will work so I have found a used and it's being shipped to me.

I still think the heads are nice. I just want to share my experience with TFS.
