Well.... are you auto or manual? Planning on FI anytime in the future? It all depends.

FI = Forced Induction (i.e. turbocharger, supercharger)

I have a manual, no FI, and I have 4:10 gears and I love them. That being said, if you plan on going FI in the future I would go with 3:73 gears, but that's just my $0.02.

...because IMO a manual car with FI and 4:10 gears makes 1st gear useless....

Ford Racing Performance Parts are the best gears you can get and for 3.73s I have seen them around 200

I just put FRPP 4.10's in my 04 GT... I bought the gear package on americanmuscle.com with the oil, gears, and diablo tuner... then I got the bearing/rebuild kit too. By the time It was all shipped to my door and I got it installed it was roughly 1000-1100 dollars canadian. Mind you thats with the 400 dollar tuner included though but I'm more then happy with the gears and my gas mileage did not go down at all and I haven't been easy on it this last tank.
