is your battery self contained? or does it have covers on the top? if it has covers on the top take them off and see if the fluid is up to the top. if not fill it to the top with water. you battery might not be able to hold a charge for very long cause of low fluid. odds are the battery crapped out on ya. im pretty sure that when you dont have enough juice to kick over the starter will click. i always start with the cheapest fix and work my way up. good luck

If you need someone to keep it and start it up everynow and then, give me a shout. Heck, I would even be willing to take it on a few short rides every now and then. Say 1/4 mile at a time, nothing too long. Wouldn't want to add up your miles. Least I can do for a fellow soldier. I'll even throw in a starter while you're gone.

af00stang,

if the car doesn't need to be moved while you are gone then remove the battery and set it in your garage. NOT on the concrete. The cold/hot cycles from the concrete will distroy the battery faster than sitting in the car. just set it on a couple layers of cardboard or something to keep it off the ground.

oh and cover the posts. you might also store it under a work bench or something to prevent something from falling on the posts and burning the house down.
