blew out a spark plug

so, brother blew a spark plug out of the cylinder head last night. i spent all night trying to use a re-thread kit on it, that was a no go. will a bigger spark plug work if i tap it out more? or is he going to need a new cylinder head?

you can helicoil the head, rather than replacing it. Depending on how bad it really was...

Its actually a common problem on the 4.6s because they are aluminum heads and do not have enough threads. I blew out 2 - got sick of fixing it so put some 04 heads that have twice as many threads.
