mini cooper and g35 sedan

Alright guys, there are a couple of kids in my marketing class at my highschool. One has a 2005 g35 that is completely stock and the other has a 2008 mini cooper which I'm assuming is an "s" or whatever. They both claim that they could take my 2000 gt off the line. I have a 93 sct tune, flow weld ons and am trying to get 4.10 gears (it's an auto by the way). What do you guys think the outcome would be if I raced either of these two guys. I could have put this in the racing section, but I would rather have people with the same year car that I have comment on this. thanks

Yea I'm not the one talking smack, its these other two kids, and there aren't really any tracks super close to us. The mini's are like 600 lbs lighter than our stangs though so that worries me, and the g35 has like 320 hp but not as much torque, so I don't know.

yes, but what can my car, with the little performance mods that I have (tune and mufflers) get on the 1/4 mile?

you should beat both easily even with minor mods on your part. Unless theirs aren't stock.

well they are both stock. the cooper is a manual, and the g is an auto. I'm thinking that especially with 4.10 gears that I could rape them, but they sounded pretty confident

no. you will beat both of them, unless you suck at driving. i drive cooper s's every day and they're fun and quick but not as fast as a GT. close, but you should win.

you will kill the mini cooper and you should beat the infiniti as well. you can go to mooresville dragstrip...but like you said thats not real close. at least 30 min. if your in charlotte.

i'm tryin to get 4.10's also...actually i should have them by next week.

btw, we should run some time

...i didn't realize you were still in high school (not old)

). yea I thought you were older to mrbigjeep, probably from the MR. but thanks guys this gives me more confidence. and I didn't think 320 was that bad of a guess when talking just at the motor. no way he'd be getting that much at the wheels
