top speed in 4th gear with 4.10s
just curious how fast you tremec 3650/4.10s guys are going topped out in 4th...should it be the same for all of us regardless of HP? (give or take a little) with all the wind resistance at that speed how much will it change depending what we all got done...or not....

i dont know about 4th gear but from what i have heard with 410s you can actualy get a higher top speed if hp stays the same...theory is you can get your engine up into the rpm range where your making more hp. you be reving it out but you can gain a little. thats jsut what i have heard

i dont know about 4th gear but in 5th you will be able to hit 150 no problem

The mechanical top gear (what speed your gearing allows you to go, granting your engine can actually get it there) is reduced pretty significantly, I think to around 168 with a manual, couldn't tell you with an auto. However, our engines, however powerful, can't get us up there stock due to the extreme air resistance we all face at those speeds. The 4.10s wake up your last gear like CRAZY... You can probably get up to around 160. With my 5 speed and 3.90s I can get to 152 with the top up, 135 with the top down. Used to be 135 with the top up, 121 with the top down with the ol' 3.27s.

i hit 115 yesterday...thats as far as i've gone...still had plenty of room rpm wise to go higer...just didnt

haha i know! but i'm just saying with mine i know it can hit maybe 135 140...with ya'lls 5spds you'll get past that...not a whole lot...maybe 150

When I was leaving columbia I hit 147 with all my stuff in the backseat and trunk to the point that there was a wall of crap flush with the front seats :award

I knew the equation for calculating rpm if you changing gears...but I could never figure how to incorporate speed....thats the $hit Andy!

cherryred99, you can easily go faster then that i got mine going with stock everything like 132 one time. pre bolts ons and pi shit, it had mroe to go too

On a side note- With stock gearing you can run 4th all the way to the speed limiter, I have done it |
