re-using intake manifold gaskets
has anyone done this or know anyone that has... would it cause problems?

I would play it safe. Coolant in the intake is never a good thing... thats what blew my motor.

they can be reused as long as there are no tears in the gasket rings. i have had my intake off several times without any issues at all.

just check the rubber sealing rings around the port opening. if they are good, then you will be just fine. i think i have had my intake on and off about 5 times without any issues at all on my gt. the gaskets had to be replaced the first time we pulled the intake off the mach.

ill look at the silicone seals on the gasket... thats what you are refering to correct

more of my $.02 worth:
if were talking about a Ford intake wth the gaskets, yes they can be reused over and over as long as the sealing surface is undamaged...but for @$24.00 for a set of oem intake gaskets, I wouldn't reuse them more than once, but thats me ![]() now, some of the aftermarket intake: ie dorman; use O-Rings that are incorperated in the lower part of the intanke mainfold that may Not be serviceable if damaged and if thats the case, then your screwed, thats why I'll always insist on buying oem
