throttle body question

I just bought a new 00 GT week and half ago and have gone through a lot of old topics. I want to upgrade to the accufab tb/plenum but it is obvious he has done some mods... but i got it from dealer so have no idea what he did besides what is obvious. Im guessing it is stock but might of been upgraded package... anyways the tb has a ford stamp on it and the plenum has a mustang. I assume thats stock but thats 500 bucks on a guess!

sounds like thats stock to me. i would go with the 70mm accufab and plenum. you will like it. i would also think about swapping out your rear end gears if you really want some performance gain

Well the guy replaced the stock wheels with the stv wheels and upgraded the suspension/brakes. How would i know what gears are on it now? All i know is it tears it up in second! And it is also not stock exhaust, but im not sure how upgraded it is... and it doesnt have headers.

jack it up, mark the drive shaft and the tires spin the shaft and then just count. crude but it gets you close enough to tell

go 75mm if youe get the accufab... i saw a right up about it a while ago that said that peopole think 75's are too big but they made a decent bit more power than the 70mm

the 70mm will be fine. it will be perfect unless you are superchargered imo.

I am very happy with my professional products plenum ($94) and my 75mm bbk tb ($100)...

I dont see the since in paying 400+ for the combo...Some people say the accufab flows better...Okay that can be correctly with a dremel and about 30 minutes...

I would go for gears first though...

true on the 3:90's..

but 3:90's are not normally put in.. it's in most cases 3:73 or 4:10..

i'm gonna have to shoot for the 4:10's.

You might already ahve a set of 3.73's in there...The onyl way to tell is to open the case...or you can get the rear wheels off the ground mark the t dead center...Mark the driveshaft at the same point...See how many time the driveshaft turns to the 1 turn of the wheel...

3 3/4 turns = 3.73's

4 1/10 turn = 4.10's
