need help! moser axles!

ok guys here goes. a few weeks ago i had my rear end built... mmr differential, moser axles, ford gears... the night i got the car back it sounded like it had a small brake squeak... well.. i figured it would go away but it didnt... so i took the wheels off and this is what i found... 1. the axles moved in and out somewhere between 1/4-1/2 an inch... 2. the caliper brackets were shimmed out with a washer to keep the rotors dead center of the caliper brackets... well... by brakes are squeaking horribly.... i have put anti squeal on EVERY part where metal touches metal except where the pads touch the rotors... my buddy installed some moser axles in his mach one and they squeaked and his rotors were warped after doing some burn outs so he had them turned and it fixed the problem...... i figure i might have warped the rotors after this past sunday at the track and that may be the problem.. any of you had this problem? any of you had to space the brackets out because of the axles being too long?

yes... the axles wont come completely out with the brakes off... whereas if he forgot the c clip it would come out with brakes off... and i have been told its supposed to have a little play... but i dunno if its supposed to be that much. im gonna turn my rotors the first thing in the morning and if that doesnt fix it im gonna pull the axles out and see what i can figure out...

i fixed the problem... the drivers side caliper bracket needed to be spaced out a tad more... i dont know if he used explorer axles because i have heard that they are longer.. but these axles were brand new from moser. dont know why he would have done that. he said the last few set of axles he has bought have been a tad bit long.. oh well. i fixed my problem so...

i didnt buy them. the guy that installed them did.. its cool now.. i dont really care, as long as they dont break. lol. sad thing is, i cut a better 60' on stock axles, gears, 17" wheels and drag radials than i did with axles, gears, slicks on 15" wheels. lol

He might have bought the wrong axles...
70-93 29 3/16 long (MSR-A883151) All 5lug 31 spline
94-98 29 31/32 long (MSR-A883152) "
99-04 30 11/16 long (MSR-A883153) "
I have never herd of shimming brake calipers...( the right axles no problems)
My axles move maybe about 1/8 inch back and forth...
Never had a problem...

here is the thing.. the axles for the 99-04 8.8 are the longest made for a ford.... and thats what i have... the caliper brackets are what were shimmed... the reason is because when the axles move in and out whether it be 1/8 or 3/16, the rotor hits the caliper bracket.. so they were shimmed to center the rotor in the bracket.

Some of these axles are adjustable. Im not sure how they do adjust but maybe whatever he did he left it out (not sure if its bolted or clip or whatnot).
